This app is similar to my app of the week last week, Teacher Kit. While this app costs money, Classroom Manager keeps more detailed records of students for teachers who need to keep accurate records for parent-teacher conferences, intervention meetings, and tracking progress of IEP students. You can select the student, the behavior they are exhibiting, the classroom activity they are doing, and the intervention approach. The app will time and date stamp for records. You can make everything content and classroom specific if need be. This will allow you late print of PDF reports or e-mail them directly to who needs to see them. In addition, this app also acts as a gradebook that can track the number of instances for late assignments, absent assignments, incomplete assignments, and excused assignments.
This app is exactly what teachers need if they are willing to spend the money to purchase it. You will be able to keep track of all of your students with just a few clicks and in doing so you will have accurate data to provide to principals, parents, and IEP team members. This has one of the most practical applications in the classroom that I have found in an app. I could see myself using this app in the classroom when I begin to teach and I think that any teacher would find it useful so that they don’t have to record data by hand and run the risk of it getting lost or misinterpreted.
